Banners and sigil were always part of our culture and when I look at this pendant/brooch, that's what I see. It looks like a banner or sigil from medieval times. This super cool piece has so many interesting features to really enjoy. The top of the piece has a Fleur-de-lis which is french for flower and in addition it continues to radiate out like peddle which is appropriate. The piece then continues with more details with a floral like center with the opal as the center. The opal is set in a sun like mounting with addition peddles stemming from it with black enamel at the tips. This piece really has so much character to tit making it a both fun and historic piece of jewelry.
