Thanks to collectors over the many years that gave us an opportunity to view and own items like this one! This is a Victorian Seal or Stamp. Used to seal letters or envelopes. People had jewelers and blacksmiths create a custom design so that it is not easily copied. Back in the time of hand crafted "life" things like this are not easily copied. This gave the owner an extra bit of protection when sending important documents. I wonder who originally had this made? The metal portion of this seal is Gold filled for strength and durability. The stone is Chalcedony. This can be worn as a pendant, Keychain or sitting on your mahogany desk. It's rich in color hues. Nice item from a time past!
