A Beautiful and Elegant Victorian Brooch Pin. Design somewhat resembles the older Buccellati brooches. The Center Stone is an Oval Cut Garnet. This Garnet has some Red, Orange and Brown. It is Rare and Spectacular! We have not have a chance to put it under a microscope, but it may be a Spessartine species of Garnet! The Garnet is Bezel Mounted within 18K Yellow Gold of Filagree, Scrolls, and Leaf design. Several Yellow Gold Roses are mounted within the rest of this 18K White Gold metalwork. Intricate designs of Filagree and Scrollwork are within the White Gold. Four raised Bezel mounted Old Mine Cut Diamonds are on all four sides of the center Garnet design. Four Natural Pearls are at every corner with the Yellow Gold reaching out tot touch them. The sides display two continuous straight lines with a row of Rope Filagree in between. The rear has two plaques with "750" in one and a four leaf clover in another. The four leaf clover is the hallmark of Alexander Sturm, of Austria. Truly an exquisite piece! This may be Southeby's eligible?
